Initial situation

A manufacturer of products made primarily from sheet metal wants to make the production process on the press brake more efficient.

 

Problem

Before we automated, the press brake was operated manually.

 

Goals and requirements

An automation system that performs the bending process, but also other processes on other machines, cleverly and unmanned. The system should therefore be mobile.

 

Solution

Roth Technik solves this challenge with a collaborative articulated robot on a stable chassis. The robot is centred on the ground as long as it is in one location. Because it is mobile, it can easily be used at different locations. Thanks to OnRobot's clever gripper system, changing the gripper is done in no time at all. There are no limits to the variety: vacuum grippers, parallel grippers, centric grippers or special grippers.

 

Result/outcome

Efficiency has been greatly improved because the process is now carried out unmanned thanks to the robot. Since the robot has been in use, the customer has also found new applications time and again. he system is mobile and flexible, so it can also be used for other purposes.
