10086 Manufacturing cell with robot, rail, force-controlled deburring

We are implementing an integrated, flexible production cell for a leading contract manufacturer. A Fanuc M-20iB25 robot is suspended from a rail that is attached to the floor with supports. Thanks to this rail, the robot's working area is massively increased, and the robot can not only handle but also perform logistics tasks, or automate several machines and processes at the same time. The robot removes the part from above a CNC machining centre. For this purpose, Roth Technik has installed a loading hatch in the existing door of the CNC machine. The part is then deburred under force control on a deburring wheel. A force sensor integrated into the deburring station makes this possible. The robot then fetches a clamping aid from an alignment station, with which the part can be clamped between two centres in a polishing machine. After polishing, the clamping aid is supplied and aligned again, and the finished workpiece is placed directly into a washing basket. When a layer is full, the robot places a new intermediate layer.
